Safety
All of our activities have been risk assessed and we carry a range of safety equipment for your protection. Our guides have current first aid certificates and are all skilled leaders with many years of knowledge and experience.
Should any instructor find any event participant is jeopardising the safety of others, that person or group will be asked to leave and will not be entitled to a refund.
Fitness: For outdoor activities a general standard of fitness is required. If you have a medical condition you are strongly advised to seek your doctor’s advice prior to coming on the event or guided walk. If necessary please inform the events leader if you have any medical condition that the leader should be aware of for your own safety. Information given to the leader is strictly confidential. The Trust cannot be held responsible for any illness or injury caused as a result of an ongoing medical condition or poor standard of health and fitness.
Behaviour: Should the instructor find that any participant is being disruptive or spoiling the enjoyment of others, then that person or group will be asked to leave and no refund will be given.
Insurance and Disclaimer: Outdoor activities involve some degree of personal risk. Fife Coast and Countryside Trust will of course take all reasonable precautions to avoid accidents but we cannot take responsibility for injury to any person whilst taking part on a Fife Coast and Countryside Trust activity. We will not be liable for losses or damage to you luggage or personal effects caused by circumstances beyond our control. We strongly recommend, for your own protection and peace of mind that you take out personal insurance to cover cancellation, accident, damage, loss, theft and injury with a reputable insurance provider.
